Lenovo recently announced the opening of a factory in North Carolina facility which, according to BGR , Lenovo advantageous because it can deliver the products to the American consumer more quickly.
BGR also reported the Lenovo president for North America, Jay Parker, who stated that although labor costs in the United States is higher, Lenovo can cut costs by importing the components of the device are assembled in the United States, compared to making entirely in the factory.
Currently unclear if this move will lead to higher product prices or better quality, but the steps to assemble the product in the United States seems to be followed by other large companies today.
