HWBOT, one of the popular database benchmarks and overclocking results in the world to block any of the devices that carry the Windows 8. That is because by mistake Real Time Clock (RTC) of Windows 8, which is used by a benchmark tool to determine when the benchmark starts and finishes.
Unfortunately, HWBOT have found that the RTC of Windows 8 is not reliable. HWBOT not provide specific details but basically they found that changes in the frequency of the CPU base clock software major impact on the accuracy of the time on Windows 8. Example, do underclocking Haswell system from 130 MHz to 122 MHz (-6%), resulting in Windows 8 lost 18 seconds in five minutes (see video below).
Surely it is a matter of doing benchmarks. Imagine running the benchmark for five minutes on the actual system underclock and run for five minutes eighteen seconds.
Therefore, HWBOT asserted "it is impossible to ascertain the performance of the system" on Windows 8, and thus the benchmark running on Windows 8 is no longer acceptable. The whole record based Windows 8 will also be disqualified.
