Check-in service Foursquare has developed apps for Windows 8 tablets. Modern-style app Foursquare exhibited briefly in the second keynote Microsoft's Build 2013 conference held in San Francisco, USA
For the uninitiated, Foursquare has applications in many smartphone platforms (iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Phone, etc.), but do not have an application that is intended for larger screen tablets belong. Version of the smartphone application is able to walk normally on the tablet, but only enlarge the interface. Earlier this month, Foursquare updated their Android app to be used on Android tablets. Still no Foursquare app for iPad users.
No word yet when the Foursquare app for Windows 8 will be present, but reportedly in the near future.
The More Apps Coming to Windows Platform
Applications play an important role to determine the success of an OS (desktop and mobile), and Microsoft understand. Windows Store (who made his debut with Windows 8) approaching 100,000 this month and continues to grow. Two of them are from the official Facebook app and Flipboard. And this week, the application of OpenTable (restaurant reservations service), Rockmelt (social networking browser) and Rhapsody (streaming music service) has been launched in the Windows Store.
Disney's games like Temple Run: Brave and Where's My Mickey? can also be downloaded from the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store. While the Avenger Initiative, Monsters University, Temple Run: Oz and Wreck It Ralph will be present in the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store in the fall.
For developers who want to quickly create applications for Xbox One, Developer & Platform Evangelism leader Steve Guggenheimer suggest when delivering his keynote to start developing Windows 8 applications, because the Xbox One has a core of Windows.
