Besides the new Xbox Durango code, Microsoft is reportedly preparing an another device that also carries the name of the Xbox. The device is a set top box to the television set that is intended to compete with the Apple TV device. The device is referred to as the Xbox Mini.
Xbox Mini rumored to be carrying capability that is equivalent to the Xbox 360 and can play games released for the console.
Xbox Mini device is rumored to be carrying capability more or less the same as the Xbox 360 and will be equipped with a system on a chip for which is being developed by Microsoft. The device has the ability to play Xbox 360 games, but not through the medium of DVD, but through Xbox Live and Games on Demand service. The use of Xbox Live and Games on Demand as a major media play a game to make these devices require a constant Internet connection or always online .
For the controller , called the Mini is compatible with the Xbox controller Xbox 360 available today. However, there has been no further information related to how the maximum number of controllers supported by the Xbox Mini as well as whether the device can use the controller wired version of the Xbox 360.
